When we took our nieces and nephew to see March of the Penguins, I remember the look of wild terror and the sudden stiffening of the little person beside me. <BR/><BR/>That aside, you didn't really miss all that much by leaving after that scene, although the message is a bit more progressive and hopeful (not to mention completely divorced from reality) than one would expect from a big budget kids' movie.Mrs. Harridanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01243591806894404860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20691740.post-1164695809862351612006-11-27T22:36:00.000-08:002006-11-27T22:36:00.000-08:00Someone at work commented about the latest movie t...Someone at work commented about the latest movie they saw this weekend. With a look of nastalgia on my face I remembered the last time I was in a movie theater and said "The last movie I almost saw was Pokemon 2000". I reeled in to reality and yes, that was the last time I was in a movie theater. I saw the opening cartoon and was asked to leave! My baby would not stop yelling Pikka Choo! every two seconds (as the charater was appearing every two seconds). My older two watched the movie in full. To this day they still laugh "we know exactly when you saw your last real movie...poor Mom."MommasWorldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06485437827291277780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20691740.post-1164652733834956382006-11-27T10:38:00.000-08:002006-11-27T10:38:00.000-08:00Yeah, no more movies abot penguins for me EVER. I ...Yeah, no more movies abot penguins for me EVER. I got suckered into watching March of the Penguins and thought they would have to refund everyone else's money since no one could hear over my sobbing. I was all, "Note to European movie producers: In American movies, fuzzy and cute animals are not allowed to be mean or die. Ever. Thank you."<BR/><BR/>On the other hand, I got premier tickets to see "Flushed Away" and we got a sitter and it made for a fun date with my husband. My friend who scored me the tix was all, "Don't you need a ticket for your son?" and I was like, "Uh, no, why?"
